Jumeirah Beach Hotel hosts sports day in aid of Friends of Cancer Patients - فندق جميرا بيتش يقيم يوماً رياضياً لدعم جمعية أصدقاء مرضى السرطان
Friends of Cancer Patients (FoCP), the
cancer-specific charitable organisation's cause was highlighted through an
exclusive sports day which was hosted by Talise Spa at Jumeirah Beach Hotel on

أبريل، سلط الضوء من خلاله على
أهداف جمعية أصدقاء مرضى السرطان، المنظمة الخيرية المعنية بمرض السرطان في دولة
الإمارات العربية المتحدة
The event, taking
place under the motto 'Be Bald, Stay Beautiful', was aimed at raising awareness
of cancer and cancer-related issues whilst promoting the noble work of the
cancer charity which provides moral, financial, emotional as well as medical
support for cancer patients and their families.
وتَمثل الهدف من الفعالية التي جرت
تحت شعار "كن أصلعاً تبقى وسيماً" في رفع مستوى الوعي بمرض السرطان،
وبالقضايا المتعلقة بهذا المرض، وإبراز الجهود التي تبذلها جمعية أصدقاء مرضى
السرطان لتقديم الدعم النفسي، والمالي، والمعنوي، والطبي للمرضى وذويهم.
To draw attention to FoCP's cause, Peter Osusky, the Tennis Director at Jumeirah Beach Hotel, shaved his head as a symbol of solidarity with all those who have fought and continue to fight the battle against cancer. The sports day, which kicked off at 8:40am, saw teams participating in a number of sports events, including tennis matches, swimming competitions, basketball games and beach volleyball.

رياضة التنس في فندق جميرا بيتش، إلى حلق شعر رأسه تضامناً مع الذين صارعوا وما
زالو يصارعون مرض السرطان. وبدأ اليوم الرياضي في الثامنة وأربعين دقيقة صباحاً،
وشهد مشاركة مجموعة فرق في العديد من الفعاليات الرياضية، بما في ذلك مباريات
التنس، ومنافسات السباحة، وألعاب كرة السلة، وكرة الطائرة الشاطئية.

FOCP Signs MOU with Capital Club
Friendsof Cancer Patients Society (FOCP) has signed an MOU with the Capital Club in
Dubai to partner as venue support for the year ahead. Jointly FOCP and Capital
Club will host cancer awareness sessions on a monthly basis for non-members and
members alike and sessions will be promoted through the club’s weekly
e-newsletter. The Capital Club will also promote Pink Caravan’s Corporate
Wellness Program through its e-newsletter and offer the venue for any cancer
related events. The partnership will be effective starting May 2013 onwards.
The Capital Club is a prestigious private business and social
club located on the top floors of Gate Village Building 3, within the Dubai
International Financial Centre. The Club was opened in 2008 and has over 1500
Members, drawn from the leading businesses in the region. It encourages
professional and social networking providing elegant lounges, a variety of
dining options, private meeting and conference rooms and a variety of special
events and business forums throughout the year.
