The Pink Caravan - القافة الوردية
The Pink Caravan is a Pan UAE initiative launched by
the Friends of Cancer Patients organisation to commemorate the occasion of the
10th anniversary celebrations of the charity. Through this noble initiative, we
are strongly campaigning towards bringing about awareness of breast cancer in
the country.
The Pink Caravan campaign is specifically designed to
raise awareness about breast cancer and to encourage women to perform
self-examinations and go for regular medical check-ups. The campaign will run
annually, focusing on all areas across the UAE, including remote and outlying
areas, as well as city suburbs. Around 125 riders join forces and cross over 320
km each year, garnering support across many different sectors, bringing
together school and university students, corporates, ambassadors and royalty.
The Pink Caravan ride is well received and has become a recognized brand of hope
throughout the UAE.
